How it all started
BLAKE CHRISTIAN, GRAND OPENING 1975
In 1975, Blake and Mary Christian started C&C Wholesale Distributors in Dallas, Texas with a borrowed pickup truck and a dream of providing flooring installers and dealers with quality products at a reasonable price. After helping get C&C’s first warehouse and showroom in order, their son Jim went off to college at The University of Texas at Austin. Meanwhile, Blake visited installers and dealers daily to find out what they needed and made early morning deliveries of merchandise and fresh donuts. With Blake and Mary’s commitment to excellence and service, they grew their customer base rapidly. Soon branches were added in Richardson and Tyler as C&C Wholesale Distributors established a reputation for quality and reliability. Jim Christian joined the daily operation soon after finishing his undergraduate degree in 1979.

While working at C&C Jim completed his master’s degree at the University of Texas Dallas. Blake and Mary’s daughter, Karen, came on board in 1986 and was one of C&C’s leading outside sales representative until she retired in 2021. Having served as the company president since 2000, Jim now looks forward to passing the baton to the third generation of ownership, his daughter and fellow UT alum, Jordan Christian Hovey. Jordan has worked for C&C since 2014 when she started out learning the business from the ground up by working the sales counter in the Austin location. She now serves as Executive Vice President helping Jim continue to build and grow C&C for generations to come.
Over the years, C&C has expanded by opening branches throughout Texas and into Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Now with eighteen locations and a fleet of trucks, C&C distinguishes itself as a place to find not only flooring tools and supplies, but also various sundries, accessories, and floorcovering products from the most reputable of manufacturers.

Our mission is to provide education, service, and solutions that assist dealers and contractors in the proper installation of floor covering. C&C commits to the manufacturers who supply us that we will put their products in the right hands with the right information. As the company has grown, we continuously re-dedicate ourselves to maintain the close, personal relationships we have with our established customers and those walking in for the first time. We never forget that proper installation is vital to the future of the flooring business therefore we strive to provide proper technical knowledge from the manufacturers to the installers.
